Swimwear of the 1960's
With the 1960’s came the Revolution of Sex. For young men
and women, this time was liberating; it was like the 1920’s rebellious and racy
nature all over again. Men and women were fornicating in public, and guys were
painting the streets with testosterone to impress the prettiest girl. So it’s
no surprise that swimwear from both sides became more scarce in coverage. The
waist-line of women’s suits declined and men’s suits were tighter and tighter
as the years went by. At the end of the 1960’s men became adorned in Hawaiian
shirts and prints—a fashion statement that has carried with the youth of that
time period.
